Imagine a world where young people from various backgrounds come together, sharing their stories, dreams, and visions for a peaceful future. This image exactly is the heart and soul of the “Peace Fellowship: Methods and Practices for Peace Education” toolkit. Developed under the project “Peace Fellowship — Promoting Culture of Peace via Strengthening Cooperation of Youth Peace Workers,” and funded by the European Union, this toolkit is designed to be a small spark of hope and a practical guide for peace educators and activists everywhere.

The toolkit starts with inspiring testimonies from project coordinators, participants and members of the Youth Peace Ambassadors Network. These personal stories are not just words on paper but powerful narratives that highlight the transformative impact of peace work on young individuals and their communities.

Besides that, the methodology section is where the toolkit truly shines, offering a treasure of various training and pedagogical approaches and peace concepts. These are the tools that educators can use to engage participants, stimulate critical thinking, and foster a deep understanding of peace and conflict. It’s like having a master class in peace education at your fingertips. :)

One of the important parts of the toolkit is the detailed description of the residential training programs. This is a chance for readers to understand what happened during two residential programmes within the project and get inspired to build their own projects.

For those looking for specific activities, the toolkit offers an alphabetically organized description of training sessions. This makes it incredibly easy to find exactly what you need, whether it’s a specific topic or a particular activity.

But what truly brings the toolkit (and the project) to life are the sections on local actions and best practices. Here, you’ll find detailed explanations of local workshops and innovative practices proposed by Peace Fellows. These stories demonstrate how theoretical concepts are translated into practical, impactful actions at the grassroots level. They are living proof that peace work can make a real difference. For us, they brought the difference we were speaking for.

Finally, we can say that the Youth Peace Ambassadors Fellowship isn’t just a program, it’s a movement. Designed as a year-long hybrid learning experience, it enabled partner organizations to collaborate, share best practices, and foster the skills and competence of individuals to act for nonviolent conflict transformation.

Finally, if you are eager to explore this toolkit, now it is available in multiple languages including Albanian, English, French, German, Polish, Serbian, Spanish, Turkish, and Ukrainian. Check it on our website and let us know how will you use it. :)
